2004 – The world’s first pocket defibrillator

14.08.2024

In 2004, SCHILLER releases another sensation, the world’s first pocket defibrillator weighing only 490 grams, including battery.

The FRED easyport defibrillator is so small and light that it fits in any medical jacket or coat pocket. The device is ready for use anywhere and within seconds, enabling a dramatic reduction of the response time required to treat cardiac arrest.

FRED easyport detects when paediatric electrodes are connected and automatically switches to the paediatric energy level.

The unit uses the particularly gentle MULTIPULSE BIOWAVE technology. This technology minimises damage to the myocard and therefore increases the chances of survival for the patient.

The AED is approved for use in ambulances, helicopters and aircrafts.
